Happy Memorial Day from Hubert NC in Onslow County
Here's wishing all of you a happy Memorial Day and hoping you are remembering what this day is about. Since I moved into my home in Hubert, NC and began to associate with military, I have gained a untold amount of respect for them, their dedication and important role they play in protecting our country. They are a special breed and I thank God for them, they deserve so much more than we can ever give them. The sacrifices made by them and their families are tremendous. Those that gave their lives in service for their country have earned a special place in my heart. Their families need our support, understanding and prayers. It breaks my heart when I hear the political machine using our troops as a "pawn" to try and influence and manipulate the public. Onslow County is one of the unique areas in our country where a major military base in located and where we, as residents, live near, work with, worship with, go to school with military families. It is an honor to have this association and we need to make sure these families know that. Let's show them how much we appreciate them but thanking them for all their dedication and service. As a Realtor, I have the opportunity to work with many of these families and get a glimpse into their lives. I make a conscience effort to work extra hard for them and help them find a home in Onslow County NC when they are relocating.
