As a Realtor, we take an oath to "protect and promote the interest of our client". The real estate market, laws/practices and the way real estate transaction are conducted has changed, is changing and will continue to change. No matter how long an agent has been practicing real estate or how many classes he/she has taken or how many certifications he/she has, the agent will be never be finished with his/her education. Real estate education is continuing and on -going with no end.
The transactions we assist our clients with are often the biggest purchases of their lives. When they hire us, they are putting their trust in us to advise and guide them. That is a big responsibility. In order to serve our clients most effectively and responsibly, we must continue to learn and grow.
We must be willing to spend the time, money and energy to be educated, re-educated and enlightened to all the changes and practices happening in the world of real estate. We owe it to our clients.
