Onslow County School-Teacher/Parent Conferences
Can you believe it is the end of the first grading period? Yes, the first grading period ended October 29 in Onslow County NC schools. Report cards go home on November 5.
No matter how your child is performing, you will want to schedule a Parent/Teacher conference. There are some guidelines to follow that will help you prepare and make the most of the conference:
2. Make a written list of what you want the teacher to know about your child
3. Write down any questions/concerns you have
4. Ask your child if he/she has anything he wants you to discuss with the teacher--write down his/her questions or concerns
5. Ask the teacher what you can do at home to help your child
6. Go in with an open mind and LISTEN to what the teacher says
7. Carry a pen and paper and make notes
8. Thank your child's teacher--appreciation goes a long way
The Onslow County Schools System has a very informative website and from there you can visit each individual schools' website. By visiting your child's school website often, you can stay abreast of school news and activities and take advantages of the resoures offered. Did you know you can download permission forms as well as medication administration forms?
