East Coast Wounded Warrior Battalion
There is a new battalion on the Camp Lejeune Marine base--it is the first East Coast Wounded Warrior Battalion. In a
ceremony on Friday, June 30 it was recognized by military spouses and family, veterans and members of the community.
Lt. Tim Maxwell and his wife Shannon are the forces behind this as a result of the injuries Lt. Col. Maxwell received in Iraq in 2004. Their efforts to get a Wounded Warrior Barracks on base where the wounded could receive the care and support they needed succeeded in 2005. Still, these warriors needed more............
